The app makes solving math problems a bit easier than using a piece of paper and a pen.

All you have to do when you use PhotoMath is to take a picture of the math problem that you're trying to complete to get helpful hints and answers about how to solve the problem. This is an app that is ideal for students who don't understand some math concepts and might not be able to ask a teacher or even a parent for help. A benefit of the app is that you will see some kind of response in a matter of a few seconds. You could get an answer with a solution of how that answer was achieved or a way to work out the problem if you don't want to know the answer.

With PhotoMath, you see each step worked out so that they are easy to understand. The app does very well at reading the problems that you take a picture of whether they are in the algebra field, statistics or another area of math. However, unless the problem is typed, then it has difficulties reading the problem. Handwritten problems can't usually be detected as well, and if they are, there is a chance that the wrong information is given as a solution.
